The Texas Workforce Commission is experiencing extremely high call volume. Many states across the nation are facing the same challenges due to recent federal extensions of unemployment insurance benefits. Due to the increased calls and workload, and the difficulties that customers are having reaching staff, TWC will not penalize claimants when they are unable to reach TWC in a timely manner.

• If you are having trouble getting through on the phone lines, please file regular unemployment insurance claims online at www.texasworkforce.org/ui/uiclaim.html
• If you need to speak to someone, please e-mail your name and phone number to the Texas Workforce Commission at UI_Info@twc.state.tx.us and a TWC staff member will call you back within 48 hours
• Check your existing claim or payment status at http://paymentrequest.texasworkforce.org
