NLC Workers Memorial Day Event to Mark Construction of National Memorial

Join hundreds of unionists on Thursday, April 28—Workers Memorial Day—as we honor workers killed on the job. Participants will observe this important day on site of the soon-to-be-constructed national Workers Memorial on the NLC campus. The NLC's annual remembrance of Worker's Memorial Day will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a panel discussion on "Strategies for Better Enforcement of Safety and Health Standards." At 2:30 p.m. the memorial ceremony and groundbreaking will begin, where we will induct the first 140 memorial bricks into the Memorial with individual tributes from anyone present who wishes to do so.
